The aluminum body feels solid without adding much weight to the end of the hose, and the barb grips 1-1/4" line tight once the clamp's on. No leaks at the cam connection after a few weeks of moving water around the yard.

Snapped these onto my transfer pump hoses and the aluminum body feels way more solid than the plastic ones I've used before. The cam arms lock down tight with no leaks, and the barb held the clamp without slipping. Two in a pack is handy since I always seem to lose one.
