The zinc plating looks uniform across all twenty bolts, so they should hold up fine in my outdoor pergola frame. The fully threaded design made it easy to cut a few down to 2 inches with a hacksaw without leaving any bare steel exposed.

The square neck on these carriage bolts grabbed into the wood perfectly and stopped them from spinning—no wrestling with a wrench. The zinc coating looks clean and should hold up fine in my outdoor bench project.

These bolts are exactly what I needed for a pergola project, and I was surprised how smoothly the rounded heads sit flush against the wood. The zinc plating looks clean and hasn't shown any rust after a week of rain, plus the fully threaded shaft made tightening a breeze with a wrench.
