Finally found carriage bolts with the square neck actually long enough to bite into the wood and stop spinning. The heads sit flush and the zinc coating has held up fine through a few rain showers.

The square neck on these bolts really grabbed tight into the wood as I tightened them, so no spinning or slipping. Zinc plating looks clean, and the full threading made it easy to cut one to a custom length. A solid, no-nonsense pack for any hardware shelf.

Needed a solid batch for rebuilding a trailer deck, and these have the right thread length to bite into the wood without spinning. The zinc coating looks even and clean, no rust spots out of the bag.
