I needed some precise alignment pins for a jig, and these 1/4" diameter alloy steel dowels slide in snugly without any wobble. The hardened surface held up perfectly when I tapped them into place, so they'll definitely last through repeated use.

Finally, a dowel pin that doesn't bend when I'm tapping it into a tight hole—these alloy steel ones are seriously tough. The 3-1/2 inch length is perfect for the heavy-duty jigs I've been building.

The finish on these pins is nice and consistent across the whole pack, which saved me time sorting through them for a jig build. Only slight knock is that a couple had a tiny burr that needed a quick file pass.
