I needed some cup point set screws for a small shaft repair, and these #8-32 x 3/4" ones fit perfectly into the tapped holes. The hex socket drive made it easy to tighten them securely with an Allen wrench. They feel well-made and the black oxide coating looks durable.

The black oxide finish on these set screws gives them a nice grip right out of the box, and the cup point bites into the shaft exactly as needed for a secure hold. I used a few to lock a pulley in place, and they haven't budged under vibration.

These are perfect for clamping small components onto a shaft without needing a protruding head. The black oxide finish on the alloy steel looks clean, and they held tight when I torqued them down.
