The red color makes them easy to spot against dark engine parts, and the 70 durometer gives them just enough flexibility to seat perfectly without being too squishy. I've used a few in a high-temp steam application already, and they’ve held up far better than the black Buna-N ones I had before.

These have been holding up perfectly in a steam line that cycles between ambient and 400°F, and the red color makes them easy to spot during maintenance. The batch of 70 gives me plenty of spares for a project that would've cost triple at the hardware store.
