Used one of these to hold a drive gear on a small motor shaft, and the hex socket gave me plenty of torque to seat it firmly. The 5-1/2 inch length was perfect for that tight spot where a shorter screw wouldn't reach.

The cup point bit into the shaft exactly as it should, and the hex socket drive made tightening in that cramped spot a breeze. These alloy steel screws feel solid, and the 5-1/2" length was perfect for my application. I'll definitely grab another pack when I run low.
