I was pleasantly surprised by the precise threading on these #8-36 set screws—they seated perfectly into the pre-tapped holes on my machine. The cup point tip digs in securely without slipping, which is exactly what I needed for a snug, vibration-resistant hold.

For a set screw that small, the cup point design really grabs the workpiece and keeps the hex driver centered. I was able to get a consistent torque in tight spots without the bit slipping or stripping.

The hex socket drive made torquing these down in a tight spot way easier than I expected, and the cup point bit into the shaft without slipping. A full 250-count box means I've got plenty left over for future projects, which is exactly what I wanted.
