Used these to bolt a steel bracket to a wooden beam and the partial threads made alignment way easier than fully threaded bolts. The zinc coating held up fine even after a few wet days outside, and all fifty came out of the box without a single bent one.

The unthreaded grip section is exactly what I needed for aligning two steel plates without the threads chewing everything up, and the zinc coating looks clean and even across all fifty bolts. Threads cut smoothly with a standard wrench, no binding or burrs out of the box.

I was a little worried about ordering bolts sight unseen, but the zinc plating is evenly applied and the threads are clean. The 1-1/2" length with that partial thread gave me just the right grip for my steel brackets, and all 50 came out of the box ready to use.
