The 18/8 stainless steel feels solid, and the flat point seats perfectly against the shaft without marring it. I’ve torqued a dozen of these down already, and the hex drive hasn’t rounded out once, which is exactly what I needed for a tight alignment jig.

I was worried the hex socket would strip with repeated tightening, but these M8s hold their grip perfectly even after adjusting them several times in a cramped bracket. The flat point seats firmly without marring the shaft, and the 18/8 stainless shows zero rust after a month in a damp garage.

Used a bunch of these to secure a guide rail on my drill press table, and the flat point really grips without marring the surface. The hex drive lets me crank them down tight even in awkward spots.
