Installed these to secure a pulley on a motor shaft – the hex socket made torquing them down in a cramped access point far easier than a slotted screw would have. No stripped heads or loosening after a few hours of vibration, and the alloy steel feels plenty tough for the job.

Used two of these to lock a sprocket onto a keyless shaft, and the hex socket drive let me torque them down precisely in a cramped spot. The alloy steel feels rock-solid compared to cheaper zinc screws I’ve tried before, and they haven’t budged under vibration.

For my small alignment fixtures, the flat point on these M8 set screws holds firmly without damaging the threads. The alloy steel feels heavy-duty, and the hex socket makes tightening in tight spots pretty easy. A great value for 500 pieces.
