I used these to secure a retaining wall in a coastal area where salt air eats standard hardware, and the 316 stainless shows zero rust after four months of weather. The hex head drove easily with a socket wrench and gave me the bite I needed into pressure-treated 6x6 timbers.

The 316 stainless steel is the reason I went with these, and they haven't shown a speck of rust after a wet month outside. Drove them into some dense oak beams without stripping the head, which is more than I can say for cheaper lag screws I've used.

I was a bit worried about these being too long for my project, but the 3-1/2" length grabbed into the timber perfectly. The 316 stainless steel gives me real confidence they won't rust on the deck.
