Finally found a domestic source for grade L9 in this oddball size; the yellow zinc finish on these feels much more robust than the black oxide my old bolts had. They torqued down smoothly in my press frame without any galling.

Needed some fully threaded 7/8-9 bolts for a jig at work, and these L9 alloy steel ones with the yellow zinc finish are exactly what I was looking for. The hex heads fit my socket perfectly and they threaded in smooth without any binding.

I used these bolts to secure a heavy press at the shop, and they seated perfectly with no wobble. The fully threaded length really helps when you need every bit of grip.
