The square neck on these carriage bolts really sinks into the wood nicely, so they don't spin when you're tightening them down. I used them for a heavy-duty gate hinge repair, and the 100-pack gives you plenty of extras for future projects.

These bolts locked into my wooden trailer deck perfectly, the square neck grips tight and stops any spinning while you tighten the nut. The plain steel finish looks exactly right for a hardware project like this.
