The smooth rounded head sits flush without catching on anything, and having 50 in the pack means I didn't have to run to the store mid-project. The square neck locked into the wood tight enough that I didn't need a second wrench to keep them from spinning.

The square neck grabbed into the wood just as described, so these 2-3/4" carriage bolts didn't spin while I tightened them down. A perfect fit for securing a heavy gate frame, and the plain steel finish looks solid enough to last.

Used a handful to build a sturdy workbench in my garage, and the square neck gripped the wood perfectly without any spinning. The fully threaded design made it easy to get a tight fit with a nut on the other side. Solid hardware for the price.
