The zinc plating on these carriage bolts looks clean and even, so they should resist rust well for outdoor projects. I used a few to secure a heavy bench frame, and the 10-1/2" length gave plenty of grip through the wood.

The square neck on these grabbed the wood perfectly, so no spinning while I tightened the nut. The zinc coating is nice and even, and the threads were clean all the way.

Actually had to double-check the count when the box arrived—sixty of these 10-1/2" bolts is exactly what I needed for a big fence project, and the square neck under the rounded head pulled in perfectly without spinning. The zinc plating looks even and clean, no flaking or rough edges.
