The zinc plating on these bolts looks clean and should resist rust well. I used them for building a heavy-duty gate, and the square neck kept them from spinning while I tightened the nut. Solid hardware for the price.

The square neck grabbed the wood instantly on my first test piece, no spinning at all once I tightened the nut. Zinc coating looks clean and uniform across all 25, and the threads are fully cut so they started smoothly without any binding.

Needed to replace some old, stripped-out bolts on a wooden gate, and these carriage bolts were perfect. The square neck underneath the rounded head really does grip the material and stop the bolt from spinning as you tighten it.
