Used these for a heavy-duty deck repair and the 8-inch length gave me plenty of grip through the old timber. The zinc plating looks clean and hasn't shown any rust after a few weeks of rain.

Installed these on a heavy timber gate and the 8-inch length gave just enough thread to secure a thick nut without bottoming out. Nice tight fit from the square neck so nothing spun while tightening.

The square neck grabbed perfectly into the wood I was using, no spinning at all during tightening. These 8-inch bolts gave me the solid connection I needed for a heavy timber project, and the zinc coating looks clean. Exactly the right length and thread for a 5/8-inch hole.
