Used a couple of these to secure a heavy-duty pump base at the plant, and the 1"-8 threads cut cleanly into the tapped holes with no binding. The partially threaded design gave just the right clamp load for the flange. Solid hold.

Used these on a large press rebuild and the partial threading made alignment much easier than fully threaded bolts. The alloy steel feels plenty tough for the load.
