I've been using these B7 alloy steel bolts for a few heavy machinery mounts, and the hex head gives a solid grip with a wrench. The 3-1/4" length was just right for my flanges, and the partial threading made alignment easier.

The partial threading on these 5/8-11 cap screws made alignment easy when I was bolting down a heavy machine base. The hex head held up well to a torque wrench without any distortion.

B7 alloy steel is exactly what I needed for this machine skid plate, the 5/8-11 threads started clean and tightened down solid. The partially threaded shank made alignment much easier than dealing with a fully threaded bolt in a blind hole.
