I've been using these M3-0.5 x 20mm socket cap screws for a few small jigs I'm building, and the Class 10.9 alloy steel feels much more robust than the usual hardware store stuff. The hex socket drive grabs cleanly without stripping, even when I'm torquing them down pretty tight.

Finally found a batch of M3 screws that actually have clean threads all the way to the head. The hex socket drive is sharp and hasn't stripped on any of the 50 I've used so far.

Bought these for a jig I'm building and the 900 count means I won't run out mid-project. The zinc plating looks even and the threads are clean, so they seat smoothly without binding.
