The zinc plating held up fine while I torqued these into a heavy equipment frame—no flaking or galling on the hex heads. Packed 100 in a cardboard box, threads were uniform and the 10.9 hardness did the job without stripping.

Threads are smooth and consistent all the way down, which made driving them into steel plates a breeze with a socket. I grabbed a full box for a racking job and the zinc coating held up fine against a few scuffed edges.

The heads are machined cleanly, so a 27mm socket grabs them without any wobble when I'm torquing them down on our press frames. Class 10.9 is the real deal for load-bearing joints, and every one of the hundred threads cut smoothly right out of the box.
