I used these in a jig I was building, and the 12.9 alloy steel makes them feel tougher than the usual screws I grab. The black oxide finish held up nicely against mild lubricant splashes during assembly.

The black oxide finish on these 12.9s looks proper and even, which is what I wanted for a visible tooling fixture. Threads cut cleanly into a tapped M8 block without binding, though I wish the partial thread started a bit earlier on the shaft. Solid enough for the price.
