The black oxide finish on these M18 socket cap screws held up perfectly during my tooling setup with no galling in the hex drive. They threaded smoothly into the jig plate and the partial threading gave just the right grip for the assembly.

These 220mm screws are perfect for a jig I was building—the partially threaded design gives a much better grip in thick steel plates than fully threaded bolts would. The black oxide finish also held up well when I test-fitted them in a vice without any scratching.

The hex socket drive makes tightening these into tight spaces much easier than standard bolts. The black oxide finish on my jig held up well under moderate use.
