Put a fresh set of these on my press brake’s retaining plates, and the hex head made torquing them down with a socket straightforward. The partial threading held tight without binding, and the zinc coating still looks clean after a few days in a damp shop.

I was worried the partial threads might not give enough grip, but they bit perfectly into the steel plate I was mounting. The zinc coating looks clean and even, exactly what I needed for outdoor equipment.

These bolts handled my trailer hitch build with no problem, the hex head gave the socket a solid grip for torquing. I was worried about the partial thread, but it's perfect for clamping heavy steel brackets.
