The partially threaded section gave me plenty of grip for pulling two flanges together, and the hex head seated perfectly in my socket without any stripping. Class 8.8 rating holds up well under the torque I applied, and the zinc finish hasn’t shown a mark after a week of outdoor use.

The zinc plating feels uniformly applied, and the partial threading on these M27s made aligning them in the coupling a breeze. Torqued them to spec with a socket and they seated cleanly, no galling or stripped edges on the hex head.

Needed these for a heavy-duty frame repair, and the 8.8 grade steel is solid enough for the torque I put on them. The zinc plating seems to be holding up well against rust so far.
