Used these for mounting a heavy shelf bracket where I needed the unthreaded grip section to pass cleanly through the wood. The zinc plating looks solid and hasn't shown any rust after a few weeks in a slightly damp garage. Fit perfectly into the 1/4-20 nut without any binding.

I needed some decent length bolts for a project, and these 1/4-20 x 5-inch ones with the partially threaded shank grabbed tight enough for a solid connection. The zinc coating seems consistent and should hold up fine.

Finally, a bolt pack where the threads actually stop where they should—that unthreaded grip section makes lining up a bracket connection feel almost foolproof. The zinc coating is even and smooth, and the 100-count box will last me through more projects than I expected.
