The hex socket drive grips cleanly with no stripping even after I torqued them down in a tight spot, and the black oxide finish looks sharp against the steel bracket. Used a pair as a pivot for a custom linkage and the shoulder spun true with zero slop.

The precision ground shoulder on these screws holds a small gear perfectly in place, working as a bearing surface just as described. They threaded cleanly into my setup without any binding.
