These shoulder screws fit perfectly as a pivot pin for a jig I built. The precision ground surface and black oxide finish handled the assembly with no binding. Exactly what I needed for a tight-tolerance application.

Ground down one of these to make a custom alignment dowel for a fixture, and the shoulder held its geometry perfectly. The black oxide finish also seems durable enough to resist minor corrosion in a shop environment.
