I needed a batch of sturdy 2-1/2" screws for a workbench project and these plain steel ones drove in smoothly without stripping. The 1/4-20 threads bit into the wood nicely and the box of 300 will last me through plenty of future builds.

The Phillips heads on these 1/4-20 screws grabbed the driver bit nicely without stripping, even when I tightened them into some dense oak. Plain steel finish feels solid for indoor use, and the 2-1/2" length was perfect for a jig I was building.

Ordered these for a shop shelf rebuild and the 300 count means I won't be running out mid-project. The plain steel finish is exactly what I expected for indoor work, and the round heads sit flush against the wood without splitting it. Phillips drive grabbed my driver bit on every single one, no stri
