The #14 gauge feels plenty beefy for a 2-1/2 inch screw, and the zinc plating didn't chip when I drove them into steel studs with my impact driver. The phillips head seated well without stripping, even on the last few. I've got a full hundred left for the next project, which is a nice bonus.

The #14 x 2-1/2" pan heads are just the right size for attaching metal roofing panels. They drive in cleanly with a phillips bit and the zinc coating seems tough enough to resist rust in my shed.
