I needed a handful of these for a small gear repair and the spline drive grabbed perfectly without slipping, even in tight spots. The alloy steel feels plenty sturdy for the job and the whole pack of 200 should last me years.

Finally, a set screw that doesn't strip out on me—the spline drive gives a solid grip without cam-out. I used these to lock a gear onto a small shaft, and they held tight even under vibration. The alloy steel feels tougher than the zinc-plated ones I've used before.

Installed a whole box of these on a pulley assembly and the spline drive bit never cammed out once. Much more secure than a standard hex, and the flat head sits flush perfectly.
