Installed these M12 cup point set screws to lock a gearbox pulley, and the hex socket drive bit into the alloy steel without stripping. The 15mm length was exactly right for the blind hole, and the cup point really digs in securely.

The cup point really bites into the shaft—no slipping even after hours of vibration on my fixture. Threads cut clean and the hex socket drive held up to repeated torquing without rounding out.

I needed a high-torque grip for a jig I was building, and the hex socket drive on these made it easy to tighten them down in a cramped spot. The cup point really holds fast once seated—no slipping at all.
