Used these for patching a couple of sheet metal panels on an old trailer, and the 2117 aluminum drove just like it should without any splitting. The 1/8 x 5/16" size with a universal head seated flush and held tight. I've got a full box of 1000, so I won't be running out for a while.

I was a little worried the universal head might not sit flush enough, but these set perfectly into the sheet metal on my trailer panels. The 2117 aluminum drives nice and tight without cracking the surrounding material.

Had to replace the rivets on an old aluminum trailer gate and these 1/8 x 5/16" universals set perfectly tight with no splitting. The 2117 alloy bucks down exactly as expected, and a thousand per pack means I’ve got plenty left for future jobs.
