Finally, a thread insert that doesn't strip out when you torque it down. The 18/8 stainless steel feels much more durable than the cheap zinc ones I've used before, and the #6-32 threads cut cleanly into plastic. Worked perfectly for a general assembly job where I needed a permanent fix.

Needed to repair some stripped plastic threads on a device and these stainless steel inserts cut cleanly and held tight. The eighteen-eight stainless gives me confidence they won't rust in a humid workshop. Exactly what I needed for #6-32 hardware.

Installed a few of these #6-32 inserts into some soft aluminum today and they bit in cleanly without spinning. The threads held tight even when I torqued down a bracket—much better than the pot-metal ones I’ve used before.
