These bolts torqued down perfectly on my new press jig build, and the Grade L9 alloy feels seriously tough. The partially threaded section grabbed the workholding plate just right, giving me a rock-solid clamp.

The hex heads fit my socket perfectly without slipping, and the yellow zinc finish seems like it will resist rust well. Only thing is the partial threading made them a bit short for one of my applications, but for general use they’re solid.

These L9 cap screws feel seriously beefy in hand—the yellow zinc coating is a nice touch for corrosion resistance. Only wish they were fully threaded for my particular application, but the partially threaded design worked fine for the heavy equipment mount I was repairing.
