The partial threading made cinching down a heavy steel bracket much easier since the unthreaded shank passed through the alignment holes without catching. At 4 inches long these bolts gave me just enough bite for a thick frame assembly using a socket wrench.

Put these on a high-torque pump mount and the partial threading made alignment much easier than a fully threaded bolt would've. The yellow zinc finish has held up well after a few weeks in a slightly damp shop.

The hex heads on these L9 bolts fit my socket perfectly without any wobble, and the yellow zinc finish looks clean and well-bonded. They drove in smoothly for mounting a heavy bracket to steel beams.
