These 1"-8 x 5" hex heads torqued down perfectly on a heavy press I'm rebuilding, no thread binding at all. The PFC9 alloy steel feels seriously tough, and being US-made gives me a lot more confidence than the usual import stuff.

Lining up the threads on these 1"-8 bolts felt smooth and precise, and the yellow zinc coating looks solid—no chipping after tightening to spec. I used them to secure a heavy press table, and the PFC9 alloy steel feels noticeably tougher than the standard grade 5s I had before.

The hex head is machined cleanly, so my 1-1/8" socket grabs it without any wobble, and the yellow zinc coating looks uniform across all ten pieces. These are holding a jig together on my mill and haven't budged after a week of heavy vibration. Exactly what I needed for industrial work.
